Steel prop has two types according the light and heavy duty load capacity. Heavy duty prop generally regconized as using in heavy duty scaffolding and light duty prop for light loads scaffolding.

There is a another difference for heavy duty prop and light duty prop, it is different from weight, prop nut and the outer diameter of inner and outer pipe.Heavy duty prop is made by Q235 or Q355 scaffold pipe by OD60mm for outer pipe, OD48 for inner pipe, the nut is heavy one. The surface treatment is mainly hot dipped galvanized and electrop galvanized, painted.

Scaffolding steel prop

Steel prop is a kind of adjustable vertical pipe support for concrete formwork supporting. One set of steel prop consist of inner tube, outer tube, sleeve, upper and base plate, nut, lock pin etc. Steel prop is also called scaffolding prop, shoring jack, shoring prop, formwork prop, construction prop. Steel prop is adjustable by closed heights and open heights, so people also call it as telescopic prop. The closed heights and open heights can make prop to support the heights we required that also very flexible when used in construction.

Steel prop can adapt to the vertical support of any shape of the concrete formwork, concrete slab, concrete column or walls. It is simple and flexible, easy to install, is a type of economical and practical support scaffolding.

The size of steel prop is determined by the closed heights a nd open heights from the inner pipe remove out of outer pipe. We usually call minimum length to maximum length, such as prop 2.2-3.9m, the closed leights is 2.2m, and maximum the length is 3.9m, and we can adjust the prop to support any heights from minimum length to maximum length.
